- Joe Nathan pulled out of the World Baseball Classic after he felt discomfort in the AC joint in his throwing shoulder. He said he wanted to get better and focus on the big goal, the Twins winning the division. Thats fine with me as long as he is healthy for the season.
- The Twins lost out on top reliever Juan Cruz to Kansas City of all teams when he signed with the Royals for two years and a option for a third. I was befuddled to see him go with Kansas City and not a perennial contender. But oh well, he will be sorry.
- Joe Mauer took another big step toward returning when he put on his catchers equipment for 15 minutes and caught a Glen Perkins bullpen session. Still, just as long he is in the opening day lineup i'm happy.
